Description
Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is sterile water containing 0.9% (9 mg/ml) benzyl alcohol, added as a bacteriostatic preservative for use as a diluent.
This sterile water and benzyl alcohol (BnOH) formulation allows for multiple withdrawals from a single 5ml vial.
Difference between Bacteriostatic Water and Sterile Water:
Sterile Water does not contain a bacteriostatic agent. Therefore, it is intended for single use only and must be discarded after one application.
